Isabel is a six year old young lady who suffers from Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. This means that Isabel is non-verbal, unable to speak and has just started walking.
Isabel is a clever girl who can use some signs and can look at things she wants in order to communicate with people around her. She loves using touchscreen technology at school, and thanks to The Nikki Waterhouse Trust, she can use an iPad to communicate her needs. The Trust donated an iPad, Communication App, a wheelchair stand and a shatter proof case. All of which will help Isabel to help make choices and communicate her needs to others, and hopefully in time this will help her to speak.
We are really pleased that we have been able to donate these goods as a result of all your hard work and great fundraising activities for the Trust. We hope that the support will help Isabel to learn and develop.
