Our Story

The Nikki Waterhouse Trust was set up in February 2015 for the public benefit, and to offer relief and assistance to children in need of financial or material assistance within the United Kingdom.

The history of the Trust is unfortunately a tragic one. It was set up in memory of our dear colleague and friend – Nicole Waterhouse, who at the age of 32 was sadly taken away from us on the 20th October 2013 following tragic circumstances. Nikki was a bright, lovely girl who loved life; she was a much loved daughter and sister and a generous friend. Her loss deeply affected everyone who knew her.

Nikki worked for Hunters from August 1999 until August 2008 when her love of travel and adventure prompted a sabbatical. She spent time travelling in Thailand and Australia, and came back to York in May 2009, where she re-joined the Sales team at Hunters Head Office.

The Trust was formed by John Waterhouse, Nikki’s father and Hunters President together with fellow Directors Kevin Hollinrake, Glynis Frew, Ed Jones and Martin Robinson who all wanted something good to come out of a tragic event.

Nikki loved children so it felt right to create a trust in her name to help make a difference to their lives. The Nikki Waterhouse Trust aims to support children and their families in times of need.
