First of all we want to thank each and everyone of you for making the Charity Golf Day 2023 the best yet! Without the sponsorship of each hole, the participants and teams, the great hospitality of Easingwold Golf Club this event just couldn’t take place. There are too many to mention but businesses from across the country came together to take part in what was a great day!
We are thrilled to announce that the total raised was a whopping £15,000.
The day started with teams gathering together at this amazing course to enjoy breakfast, meet up again with friends, colleagues and business associates for one main reason – to raise much needed funds for the Nikki Waterhouse. Now I personally don’t know a lot about golf, so I write this with little knowledge of who won and what the scores were but from talking to John Waterhouse he tells me that the event had lots of newcomers, some who were only very small when our first even took place and basically smashed it winning lots of prizes!
As always Chris Kendra was on hand with her calculator and the popular raffle which in itself made over £900. Thank you to all who donated and collected prizes before the event. In the evening came the famous auction house. Prizes were donated from sports memorabilia, weekends away, a bike, and some very unique and exciting items to buy all donated by you.
We can never predict the weather but it held of long enough to have a dry day with lots of fun.
